There is a huge amount of fear and uncertainty on a global scale this morning as the New President of America has been announced.

I was speaking to an American friend earlier who spoke of the "shadow" that was around America at the moment.   I had been thinking about this earlier myself and thinking that sometimes we have to become aware of the shadow in order to shed light there.

What advice would you give to your 21 year old self?

My father is celebrating his 94th birthday today and while I was making the trip to town to see him I thought about asking him "What advice would you give to your 21 year old self?"

His advice was to enjoy life as much as you can and to do the things that make you happy because, there will come a day when you can't do those things any longer.

He recalled stories of going to the movies with his pals, going to the local hall for a dance with my mother on the handbar of his bike, leaving the bike outside the ball and never even thinking the bike wouldn't be there when he came out!

His 20's were spent doing normal, carefree joyful activities.   When he looks back on his 20's it is with no regrets, no what if's, no I wish I had done more.

Each day we have the chance to make memories, let's make sure we make ones that make us smile when we are 94!

Until next time ... keep the faith,
