All Things Beautiful at Galway Fashion Trail

I was honored to be invited by Galway Now to be a guest blogger on the exclusive Galway Fashion Trail.  I have written before about my evolution with these events and my growing love for finding beauty along the way.

As a busy Mumpreneur having healthy delicious food served up to me is a treat in itself.  So when we arrived at the Radission Blu in Galway and the menu boasted mango, passion fruit and ginger smoothie, greek yogurt, strawberry & vanilla fool, buttermilk pancakes with crispy bacon and maple butter, Waterford Blaa's (smashed avocado, streaky bacon and poached egg and stuffed Portabello mushroom, what's a girl to do but have it all!!!

AND of course what can we say about the location, location, location of the RAW Sushi in the Sky restaurant in the Radission Blu.   With stunning views over Lough Atalia, on a sunny day one could dream about being anywhere!  Our every need was met (including my soya cappuccino) and I left with a .. can't wait to go back there again .. feeling in my body.

As well as our culinary senses being tickled at the Radission Blu our eyes were adorned with beautiful fashion from Harper.ie  which was exquisitely matched with shoes from Sheneil Shoes, and stunning head pieces from Majella Lennon Dalton and Brid O Driscoll Millinery.   The first of the guests appearances from the IFIA awards was on show here, Louise Porter showcasing her scarves which were just divine!    The finishing touches to the gorgeous girls from Catwalk Models was their make up done by Aisling K MakeUp.

There were also stalls with eye catching pieces of jewellry from JewelBox.ie, an amazing array of shoes for all occasions from Sheneil Shoes and Optique Opticians.

After the fashion show we were whizzed away in a cavalry of Renault Cars to our next destination which was Sarah Mason Professional at Unit 3 Forster Court, Galway.   The ambiance is really special here at this national and international multi award winning salon.   We were delighted with funky hair styles and groovy make up!

Swamp Galway at the Eyre Square Centre was our next port of call.   This shop has been in Galway for many years now and is well known for its versatile and affordable clothing.   There is something for everyone in this establishment and the fashion show that ensued delighted us with different ways to mix and match delightful clothes.

Two doors down to Irish owned Greennes Shoes who are open an amazing 25 years in Galway was next on the agenda. I love the diversity of their shoes which range from bell of the ball to trendy walking gear.   There were fabulous luxury scarfs also on show from Textile Print Designer Niamh Daniels, who was the second of the three guests from the IFIA awards showcasing at the Galway Fashion Trail.   Juicy Lucy were there too keeping us hydrated with their hand made cold pressed range of fruit and vegetable juices.  I had more than one of these sample treats and the girls are always happy to oblige!!!

Before lunch we stopped at Colette Latchford Fashion Galway.   This is another of those Galway institutions which is a real treasure.  It is located opposite M&S on Eyre Street.   We were treated to another exquisite fashion show and it was obvious which season was on display with all the glorious colours on the cat walk!

We made our way to Revive for lunch, one of the highlights of my day!!!  We were treated like VIPs and sat outside in the Spring Sunshine while we were treated to all sorts of delicious sandwiches, sweet potato fries, burgers and homemade chicken and fish goujons.  We also had a very good red wine with tasty brownies and lemon meringues for dessert.

I love my food and .. I will definitely be back to this wonderful cafe for its ambiance, friendly staff and good food.

The exclusive Brown Thomas was next on the agenda for some fashion delights and here we also saw designs from the third of the IFIA guest finalists from Haus of Mohawk.   The fashion was divine including ranges from Coast and Karen Millen along with designer footwear and handbags to die for!!

Choice of High Street is another of those shops who have a wonderful ability to show you how to mix and match clothes to create an outfit to take you anywhere you want to go!   For trendy Mumpreneur outfits to spring walks on the prom!  Their accessories are always amazing and also very affordable.

Last up on the Galway Fashion Trail were Willow of Mainguard Street which boasts a wonderful mix of unique and contemporary styles of clothing.    Their collections are hand picked from every corner of the globe and they cater for the classic feminine look to the gal who likes her trendy fashion!

The clothes were excellently modeled again by Catwalk Models and the colours were amazing.

It was off to the Front Door for the wrap party then and an introduction to all things Gin!   Well a girl has to unwind after a day on her feet surrounded by beauty hasn't she!

Thanks everyone for making the Galway Fashion Trail such an outstanding success and for showcasing Galway at its' finest from wonderful fashion houses, to upcoming Galway designers and also some of the exquisite dining that is right on our door step here in the City of the Tribes.  Thanks also to the ITWBN for being a great network of bloggers to be a part of.
