Chanmaya to release exclusive design yoga towel in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an opportunity to raise both awareness and financial support to fight this disease that impacts so many of us. Breast cancer doesn’t just affect women, it affects everyone in their life. It doesn’t have racial or socio-economical boundaries so it is important that as many people as possible are made aware of how to fight it, through education and early detection.
Chanmaya, a global yoga brand with its roots in Dubai, is proud to promote this important cause through the launch of an exclusive charity towel. The yoga towel will be released late September with 50% of its proceeds raised going to Brest Friends in partnership with Al Jalila Foundation. Chanmaya believes that reducing suffering at the hands of breast cancer is a challenge we face together, as a global community.
Chanmaya has chosen to partner with Brest Friends to raise funds through the sale of charity yoga towels. Brest Friends offers support to breast cancer patients by removing barriers such as limited or no health insurance, lack of transportation and childcare, or language and cultural differences. Breast Friends alongside Al Jalila Foundation are focusing on promoting early detection of breast cancer, facilitating medical treatment and, most importantly funding cancer research.
The positive ties between yoga and cancer care are astounding. Yoga is a powerful way to promote relaxation and general health, making practice an invaluable tool in helping patients cope with their medical treatment, side-effects, and emotional response. It is this connection that makes the fundraising initiative such an important one. Chanmaya hopes not only to raise funds but to raise awareness of yoga as a way to support sufferers during their treatment journey.
Chanmaya created their charity yoga towel in flamboyant pink, reflecting the colour adopted by breast cancer charities worldwide. It also features the pink ribbon – another globahe Chanmaya charity towel will be available on the Chanmaya website and in selected yoga studios throughout October. The minimum donation is 27USD plus 10USD shipping, although higher donations are welcome. 50% of the proceeds from the towel will go to Brest Friends.
