Biohacking the ageing code

Guest blog post by Philippa Taylor from FeelFab

Quality of life – we all want it but it’s affected as we age.  With medical advances and improvements in the environment, we’re all living longer yet it’s also becoming clear that quality of life trumps quantity of life for many of us.  Age brings physical changes and typically we all start to notice these from our thirties onwards when we don’t bounce back from a night out/a stressful week/ an intense gym session as quickly or as easily as we used to back in the day.

So what can we do about it?  One new approach is to biohack the ageing code.

Biohacking is a new practice using science to become the best version of yourself. It’s the process of making changes to your lifestyle to “hack” your body’s biology and feel your best.

In short, biohacking is all about improvement. It’s human nature to pursue progress and at the top of the list of things to be improved is usually our own body. Our body is our home and carries us through this life so it makes sense to do everything you can to help yourself feel fab.

I work with a company who uses a ground-breaking new science called nutrigenomics to help people biohack a healthier life. By studying the effects of nutrients and natural compounds on our genes, they’ve created scientifically-backed products that help promote healthy ageing on a cellular level. Better sleep, more energy and reduced inflammation is what people tell us they’ve noticed after they’ve tried our nutrigenomics products.

Our nutrigenomic products support the body’s natural cellular function by targeting the main biochemical effects of ageing, issues like oxidative stress, natural mitochondrial deterioration and more. By awakening your body’s ability to rejuvenate itself on a massive scale — whether by up-regulating your genes’ ability to produce their own antioxidants, your cells‘ ability to produce mitochondria, or your guts’ ability to regulate bacteria — we help you to feel fab for longer.

When I heard about biohacking the ageing code, as a PR consultant by background, my first response was scepticism!  However, when I explored the all-natural ingredients in the synergistic blend of five botanicals (and found that I could reduce my oxidative stress levels by an average of 40% in just 30 days by simply taking one dose a day, I then turned to science for proof.  It did sound too good to be true so I wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t be wasting my money – and that I wouldn’t be harming myself.

I checked out the 24 independent peer reviewed clinical trials on and realised that I’d found something which was not only patented to do what it said on the bottle but was also the subject of research studies across the world.

The proof was in the pudding so to speak as after a couple of months, my husband turned to me one day in bed and asked me who I was!  As we’d been together over 30 years at that point, I was a bit concerned by this question to say the least!  However he simply wanted to highlight that after decades of being with a night owl, I was now chatting away and being full of beans early in the morning rather than pulling the duvet over my head!

Since then I’ve shared information (and other people’s experiences) with individuals around the world mostly through my Facebook wellbeing community and via my website about how nutrigenomics can help them feel fab.  Here’s just one story:

Sarah T: “I started biohacking my body around 3 months ago with no specific health issue to resolve! My only concern was delaying and reversing those pesky sign of ageing that occur…

“So fast forward 3 months and I have noticed my sleep has greatly improved (no more waking through the night), my energy throughout the day has vastly improved and I achieve so much more and no brain fog.”
