Fresh, Clean Food

Freshly Chopped ..The Health Food Company

The launch of Freshly Chopped Ireland at Eyre Square Shopping Centre was a dazzling display of all things health and wellness.  In an age where people are demanding more nutritious fast food, Freshly Chopped Ireland have certainly come up trumps to provide customers with just that - healthy fast food on the go.  The owners of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre Chopped are Jonathan, Derek and Mike Corbett, and what an amazing bunch of lads they are.    Their enthusiasm and passion spill out into every aspect of this eatery.

MC at the launch for the evening was the talented Aislinn Connolly from Body & Kind.  The evening kicked off with a sizzling cooking demonstration from Chef Rory Morahan which was warmly welcomed by the large crowd that were gathered to watch his culinary skills and to get tips for healthy meal ideas.

Also there on the night was Anita from Healthy Treats Kitchen who had her wonderful selection  of healthy treats available for people to try on the night.  Her products contain natural products like dried fruit, nuts and seeds.  There are no hidden additives, or preservatives, just a bunch of nutritional vitamins, protein and minerals.

The lovely ladies from Juicy Lucy were also there with a selection of their cold pressed fruit and vegetable juices for people to sample.

And if you wanted a hot cuppa Evergreen Health Products were on hand with some teas for the Pukka range.

After the cooking demonstration attendees were treated to a very generous complementary selection of freshly prepared foods prepared by the Chopped staff.  There were sample salad bowls and wraps with a selection of ingredients from their impressive range.

The menu at Chopped is extensive and they cater for the nutritional needs of all their customers.  You can either pick something from their menu or design your own from the selection of cold meats, fresh leaves and salads.    You can choose Garden Tofu or Lebanese Falafel or mix your asian greens with your Italian mozzarella balls!   The world is truly your oyster at Chopped!

OR if you are looking for something hot you can choose the soup of the day, or try an omelette in a wrap (I had this one and its fab!).

Chopped have also collaborated with a local business, Sadies Kitchen.   Sadie's Kitchen is an Irish-owned business, specialising in a range of 100% natural and nourishing bone broths.  On the night I sampled one of the Both Broths and it was simply divine!

If you have ever heard of piloxing and weren't too sure what it entailed well you were in for a treat with a piloxing demo from the vivacious Mel from Piloxing Ireland.  To round off the evening there was an inspirational fitness & nutrition based discussion panel.  Guests on the panel included Gary Thornton who ran 7 Marathon in 7 Continents in 7 Days, Michelle Guthrie who is Ireland's strongest Lightweight Woman, Jarrad Butler, Connacht rugby player and Nutritional Therapist Sinead Bradbury.  Each of the panel gave their insights into the importance of healthy eating for overall health and wellness.

There were also lots of guests on hand to keep the children entertained including their local heroes from Galway United Soccer Club.

The night was a huge success and I am sure I am not the only one who welcomes the addition of Freshly Chopped Eyre Square Shopping Centre to the City of the Tribes growing foodie scene.
