Yes, getting caught up in the latest beauty trends can be really fun and entertaining, but you know what? Trying to keep up with every single trend can be extremely challenging and nerve-racking as well, so don’t be one of those ladies who want to do that no matter what. Instead, check out our guide on the diversity in beauty standards around the world and learn about them today. Enjoy!

America – the land of opportunity

Everyone can agree that America indeed is the land of opportunity, and its beauty industry is definitely here to confirm this claim. Even though beauty standards have drastically changed over the years, the truth is that social media is responsible for raising the bar when it comes to a preferred look American ladies should strive for. This basically means that people who get the most likes and comments on their photos are perceived as the most beautiful, successful, and rich, which often isn’t the case in real life. However, we must also say that a natural, no-makeup makeup look is much more desirable than a glamorous one with a face full of makeup. This is a significant change that allows the ladies to feel good in their skin, without feeling obliged to wear makeup at all costs, which is exactly what matters most.

The breathtaking versatility of European beauty

If there’s one word that can perfectly describe the beauty of European ladies, we can definitely say that it’s versatile. Even though European girls are typically portrayed as tall and thin Caucasian girls with straight blonde hair, the truth is that the ideal of beauty can’t really be defined in these terms only. European girls come in all sizes, skin tones, and hairstyles, which is why it’s so hard to come up with a unique beauty standard that will apply to all of them. However, we can say that, similarly to American ladies, European gals also love rocking no-makeup makeup looks – or even going barefaced! It’s good to know that a natural look is on the rise again, allowing girls to express their individuality and helping them feel good about themselves.

Australia – beauty standards seen from a different perspective

On the other hand, ladies from the Land Down Under actually have a bit different take on what constitutes beauty, and it mainly depends on their own self-image. It can be said that Australian ladies have a quite relaxed attitude towards beauty, which basically means that they appreciate a look that can be described as natural, healthy, and fit in the first place. Of course, this doesn’t mean that plastic surgery isn’t a thing here, as there are a lot of available treatments and procedures for anyone who wants to change their physical appearance in order to live a more fulfilled life. From minimally invasive dermal cheek fillers in Perth to a tummy tuck, facelift, and liposuction in Melbourne, there is indeed something out there for everybody. So, if that's your cup of tea, do your research and go for it. It's all about feeling great in your own skin!

The innovative beauty industry of Asia

Speaking of the Asian beauty industry, we can freely say that it’s one of the most innovative industries in the world which undoubtedly has a huge impact on the current beauty standards. As you may already know, Asian ladies are all about skincare. The fact is that no makeup product will help you if you don’t take proper care of your skin in the first place, which is why upgrading your skincare routine should be your top priority. Korean sheet masks have gained a lot of popularity over the last few years, and these are said to be the most groundbreaking products in the beauty industry recently. Contrary to American, European, and Australian ladies who love to have tanned, sun-kissed skin, Asian women love to stay as pale as possible. The majority of skincare products they love to use actually have some kind of whitening agent in them, which further confirms their obsession with pale skin!

As you can see, there are some significant differences between the beauty standards around the world, which is a completely normal and logical thing due to numerous cultural differences. After all, it isn’t only the outer beauty that counts, but the inner one as well, right?
